King's Paradox — Brand Identity Design

King's Paradox

Brand identity design for an underground party production company in Miami, FL.

The brand's naming had already been set when the client came to us. The brief also requested that the logo make use of a crow.

Working off these 2 main conditions, we started looking into paradoxes during our brainstorming sessions. Eventually we came across Schrödinger's Cat Paradox, which refers to a "dead and alive" juxtaposition.

Using this idea as our conceptual starting point, we designed an icon where a crow (alive) was placed on top of an X made out of two bones (dead). We then applied this bone-ish morphology to the rest of the wordmark.

Further detail on the crow's eye generated an illustration that hint's to Miami's tropical nightlife.
